“From science to fork”

The conference will be held in Trento at Grand Hotel, 12-14 November 2018.

“Blueberry from science to fork” is the key of the two days program: the first day, four scientific sessions will give an overview of the most update results from science that can have in impact on the blueberry market, with particular regard to Europe. The scientific sessions will encompass genetics, breeding, fruit quality, post-harvest and pests and diseases that may affect the value of this crop. They will be organized through a main lecture and four to five selected talks, covering the different disciplines.

The second day, from a European macro perspective, production and market analysis will be presented and discussed with some of the main companies involved in the “blueberry world”. The idea is to draw a "state of art" of the European production, to visualize the dynamics of the market, to get inputs about sorting and innovation on packaging and nursery.
Our main focus is to bring together and enrich as much as possible the scientific language with its most innovative results with the production-market needs and consumers demand.
