Mattias Scholz

Education:  Matthias Scholz is a trained computer scientist who did his PhD in Bioinformatics at the Max Planck Institute in Germany.

Professional activities: He has several years of experience in analyzing biomedical data: 2006-2010 University of Greifswald, Germany; 2010-2013 Edmund Mach Foundation, Italy; 2013-2016 Computational Metagenomics, University of Trento, Italy. Since 2016 he is a senior researcher in the nutrition and nutrigenomics group at Edmund Mach Foundation, Italy;

Research: His research interests focus on developing novel computational tools that allow the study of complex microbial communities at the strain-level.
