Research: microbial ecology: robustness of microbial communities to perturbations; host-microbe interactions as a biomedical model for human health and a novel target for insect pest control. Evolution, development and drug resistance of pathogenic fungi; natural products as novel therapeutic strategies to combat life-threatening fungal infections.
