Research activity

In her PhD studies, she will characterize volatile organic compounds emitted by bacterial strain with toxic activity against plant pathogenic microorganisms within the EU project INTERFUTURE. Her Master Thesis concerned the identification of volatile organic compounds produced by plants and the evaluation of their cytotoxicity. During her Bachelor, she carried out floristic studies and participated in molecular biology studies on plant cell death driven by pathogen infection.

Research interests

Her main research interest is natural product chemistry. She is particularly interested in isolating and identifying microbial bioactive compounds and exploring microbial interactions in soil, for developing new biocontrol methods against plant pathogens.
