Research activity

Selection of MOs to develop new tools for the management of the invasive pest Drosophila suzukii.

Research interests

Insect chemical ecology, bioactive VOCs, integrated pest management, sustainable agriculture, development of new trapping systems for pest management, bioproducts registration and industrial production.

Short CV description

  • Since September 2017: PhD student at the University of Molise, Italy under the supervision of Prof. Antonio De Cristofaro 
  • 2013-2017: work experience as entomologist at Phytosanitary Laboratories and Plant Protection Department at Ministry of Agriculture, Jordan 
  • 2011-2013: Master of Science in Integrated Pest Management of Mediterranean Fruit Trees at CIHEAM/MAI-Bari, Italy. Master thesis is about the ecological and biological studies of the African fig fly Zaprionus indianus in Jordan
  • 2004-2011: work experience in pesticides residues analysis at Ministry of Agriculture, Jordan
