Dr Aziz Aziz is Associate Professor at URCA.
His research activities are focused on understanding how plant responses to (a)biotic stress function in the context of biological adaptation, signalling and innate immunity as related to the beneficial bacteria- or MAMP-induced resistance towards plant pathogens. Experimental approaches range from plant physiology to molecular biology. Plant systems studied include tomato, grapevine and Arabidopsis. His research led to 35 papers in peer-reviewed journals. He has been supervisor of five PhD students and two postdocs. He will assist in supervising the ESRs at URCA.
