Gianfranco Anfora

Dr Gianfranco Anfora is entomologist, Associate Professor at Center for Agriculture, Food and the Environment, created in 2016 on the initiative of the University of Trento and Fondazione Edmund Mach. 
He has been studying the interactions between insect pests and microorganisms affecting volatile organic compound perception and host recognition. He authored over 150 scientific or technical articles (70 ISI) and is the inventor of one patent. He has supervised four PhD students to completion and 10 post-docs. He is currently supervising and co-supervising 4 PhD students. In addition to that, he has supervised up to completion 12 master students and several more undergraduates.
